STEEP & DEEP – SASS PORDOI – FEBRUARY 2018

The first edition of our new Steep and Deep Format was just perfect! But lets start from the beginning….
After having checked the snow and weather conditions we were sure to head to the right spot – Sass Pordoi in the heart of the dolomites

All of the 12 participants were enthusiastic about a weekend full of adrenaline and adventure.
On our warm up day we headed to Arabba and went for a short hike up to Pizagnol Orella. What a great welcoming couloir to start off with!

On our first day with our guides Michi, Valentin and Julian all groups went for the Pordoi Scharte as a warm up run. And  – were warm after that :-)!

On that day we ended up doing great classical couloirs such as Canale Col Alton and the Canale Holzer – in awesome conditions with just the right amount of adrenaline to push the limits but still with a grin on the face.

On Sunday all groups needed some hiking effort but it was worth every centimeter! Not only Val Colea was a incredible experience!

After the weekend all participants agreed – Powderchase Steep and Deep is here to stay!
